About: CSP provides short term (10 sessions) one to one counselling to youth who have contact with the Youth Justice System. The program supports rehabilitation and reintegration of youth in contact with the law, including individuals who have contact or involvement with the justice system, and gang activity. Unique to the Community Support Program is its ability to provide individualized supports to justice involved youth through the utilization of evidence-based counselling techniques such as Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Throughout the Community Support Program, youth work to re-establish or strengthen community ties through a strengths-based approach while fulfilling any sanctioned requirements. CSP is currently delivered either in person or virtually dependent on the needs of clients.
